Pioneering Heavy Waves in Java, Indonesia
Discovering unknown waves in Java might be a dream to some, but for Joel Fitzgerald and Harrison Roach, it’s a sweet reality. Hot off the plane from Australia, the two find some soft longboard waves and move up to a heavy, dredging Pipe-esque barrel. Pioneering waves like this requires a deep quiver as breaking boards goes with the territory in these shallow waters.
