Making the transition to sustainability in surfing
Plymouth University and San Diego State University have teamed up to write "Sustainable Stoke: Transitions to Sustainability in the Surfing".
The new book explores the cutting edge of the surfing world's transition to sustainability. We're all going green, but what does that exactly mean?
University researchers, surf industry leaders, athletes and non-governmental figures have explained how we can develop surfing with eco-friendly attitudes towards business, competition and lifestyle.
Gregory Borne (Plymouth Sustainability and Surfing Research Centre) and Jess Ponting (Center for Surf Research) have worked together to bring "Sustainable Stoke: Transitions to Sustainability in the Surfing" to the book shelves.
Innovations and initiatives are highlighted providing the foundations for technological transitions as well as social and environmental initiatives that are improving the lives of thousands of people all over the world.
