Barbados Surf Spots
With 431 square km (166 sq. mi), Barbados is an island nation of the Lesser Antilles and one of the Caribbean's leading tourist destinations.
It is located in the western area of the North Atlantic Ocean, about 168 km east of the islands of Sant Vicent and the Grenadines, and 400 km northeast of Trinidad and Tobago.
The island benefits of over 3 000 hours of sunshine yearly. The weather is almost always sunny and warm, moderated by the constant northeast trade winds. 19 knots is the mean wind speed.
The average daytime temperature ranges between 29 °C and 31 °C (84 °F and 88°F). The island is located outside outside of the principal Atlantic hurricane belt.
The island of Barbados isn't big. Therefore, surfing is quite unpredictable. Still, be alert for the Atlantic swell that hits the East coast. Parlors, Ragged Point and Soup Bowl have more consistent surf days than any other spots.
On the West coast, try Maycocks, Sandy Lane or Tropicana.
