Peru Surf Spots
Peru is one of the best surfing countries in South America and the region is affected by the cold Humboldt Current.
That's why Peru has alarge variety of climates and microclimates, including 28 of the 32 world climates. Expect subtropical weather with very little rainfall. El Niño is a frequent presence.
The best surf spots of the country are Playa Grande, Bermejo, El Pico, Centinela, Carquin, Paraiso,Pasamayo and Conchitas (North), Playa Mollendo, Tiro Alto, Punta de Bombón, Playa Platanales, El Olon,Piedras Negras, El Colegio, Pozo de Lizas, Caleta Sama and Boca del Rio (South)
Los Organos (rock/reef), Cabo Blanco (point break), Chicama (point break) and La Herradura (point break) usually deliver top quality waves.
