France Surf Spots
France enjoys a temperate climate. There's alpine temperature in the highest mountains, but the oceanic and mediterranean temperature prevail.

The Basque Coast offers great waves. Parlementia, Lafitenia and Belharra can deliver giant bombs, in special days.
If you head North, you get to the heart of French surfing: the Anglet/Biarritz region. Here, look for Les Cavaliers, Côte des Basques and the Grande Plage.
Hossegor is another great surfing region. Les Culs Nuls, La Gravière, La Nord, La Sud and Capbreton offer great waves and splendind background scenarios.
After Landes, you get to the Gironde surf spots where you should try the tidal bore river wave of Les Mascarets. Drive to the coast and experience a true classic: Lacanau, one of Europe's most consistent surf spot.
In the Central region of Vendée, there are several uncrowded surf spot, but L'Embarcadère is a classic pick.
Up in the North, the Finistère region has consistent and powerful surf. As you head to The Channelregion, Yport, Calais and Cap Gris-Nez are the best surf spots.
Finally, in the Mediterranean coast, the best wave peaks are located in Canet Plage, Gruissan, Carnon,Galiote and St. Laurent du Var.
