Costa Rica Surf Spots
Costa Rica enjoys a tropical climate all year round. There two typical weather patterns: the dry period and the rainy period.
In this Central America country, humidity levels are higher on the Caribbean side than on the Pacific side.
Costa Rica has 5% of the world's biodiversity, despite its minor 0.25% of the world's landmass. The country holds an incredible number of birds and mammals.
Interestingly, the Nicoya Peninsula is considered one of the world's "Blue Zones", where people commonly live active lives past the age of 100 years.
Surf spots are everywhere in Costa Rica. Surfing is growing rapidly and so does surf tourism. If you're traveling to Costa Rica to enjoy some waves, you don't need to carry your own surfboard. Rent it.
The best surf spots in Costa Rica are Playa Tamarindo, Ollie's Point, Playa Hermosa, Nosara, Ostional,Avellanas, Playa Grande, Playa Negra, Witch's Rock and Salsa Brava.
There are plenty of surf travel companies that can get you to the best surf peaks very quickly. Respect the locals and enjoy the best waves Central America has to offer.
